Warranty Policy

 

All warranty periods indicated are from Pccartridges.com, unless otherwise noted, and are limited by the manufacturer‘s warranty policies. Actual manufacturer warranty periods may vary depending on product and manufacturer and may be longer than the warranty period covered by Pccartridges.com. Please refer to the Manufacturer‘s website or product manuals/packing for more information.

Generally the manufacturer’s limited warranty will only cover the product for manufacturing defects and will not cover any physical damage to the product from misuse, dropping, physical damage etc. In no way does Pccartridges.com warrant any product for fitness of use or for representations made by the manufacturer.

Unless otherwise stated, all products purchased from Pccartridges.com are covered by a minimum 30 day in-store direct exchange warranty policy.

To receive warranty service on any product from Pccartridges.com, the product must be brought in with the original invoice and tested by our technicians (for online purchases, see below). If the product is deemed defective, you may be provided with a direct exchange* or will be required to fill out an RMA form so that we may send the item to the supplier or manufacturer for warranty service. Depending on the manufacturer’s warranty policy, the product may be repaired or replaced. This may take 2~6 weeks. A copy of the RMA form will be given to you; please do not lose this form it is your responsibility to keep it in a secure location. Pccartridges.com reserves the right to refuse to release any items left in our possession with out the proper RMA form.

* Pccartridges.com reserves the right to substitute a comparable model at the current market value of your item.

Online Purchases

For products purchased online, the customer must contact us by phone (905-290-0205) or email to address the problem with the product. If a technician is unable to resolve the problem over the phone or email, and deems the product defective or requiring testing, the customer will be given an RMA reference number. The customer must ship the product back to us with a copy of the invoice and the RMA reference number within 7 days upon being issued this number. Pccartridges.com recommends that appropriate messures are taken to safeguard the product from damage during shipping, as Pccartridges.com does not warrant a physically damaged product.

Pccartridges.com does not accept packages sent collect or COD. The customer must pay for shipping and provide the necessary information for reimbursement.

If the product is determined to be defective and is covered by our in-store direct exchange policy, the customer will be informed and a replacement will be shipped out as soon as possible. The direct exchange period for online purchases is 30 days from when the order was originally shipped out to the customer.

After the first 30 days, the customer will have to wait until we get a replacement or repaired item back from the manufacturer. This may take an estimated 2-6 weeks depending on the product. Pccartridges.com will cover the shipping charge for sending the product back to the customer for up to 90 days for OEM products and 30 days for retail products, from when the original purchase was shipped. Please note that some products may have a less than 90 day warranty. It is recommended that customers deal directly with the manufacturer for all retail products for faster turn around times. Pccartridges.com can help fasciliate warranty service between the customer and manufacturer for retail items, but will not cover any expenses incurred for warranty service after the first 30 days of purchase. For OEM products that have a one year warranty, Pccartridges.com will not cover shipping charges after the first 90 days.

If the product is not defective, the customer will have to pay for shipping of the product back to the customer.

Pccartridges.com is limited to the service level offered by the manufacturer or supplier, please read your product warranty information carefully before contacting us.

Warranty of Compatible and Remanufactured items

Compatible and remanufactured items are warranted to be free of defects in both materials and workmanship for ONE FULL YEAR from the date of purchase. These items are manufactured and remanufactured to the most stringent quality control standards, guaranteeing performance.
Pccartridges.com also warrants that under normal use and subject to the conditions stated below, these items will not cause damage, abnormal wear or deterioration to any compatible machine.
The tampering of any Pccartridges.com product by any person or people, other than by an Pccartridges.com representative, voids all warranties and releases Pccartridges.com from all liability.
Pccartridges.com’s liability hereunder shall be limited to replacement or reimbursement as stated above. This warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied.

What happens if one of our compatible or remanufactured products damages your printer?

If a defect in one of our compatible or remanufactured items causes a machine to fail, Pccartridges.com will reimburse the customer up to $200.00 for service and repair. This warranty is dependent upon the customer providing Pccartridges.com with satisfactory evidence that the machine’s failure was due to a defect in the compatible or remanufactured item/s, including a written statement from an authorized service company stating the reason for failure and the corresponding invoice. This statement must be on authorized company letterhead and dated and signed by the company’s field or service representative.

STMC Standardized Products

Most of our suppliers of remanufactured and compatible cartridges are now STMC Qualified. This means better quality and less defects and returns to deal with. You can purchase from us with confidence.
STMC stands for Standardized Test Methods Committee. This global committee was formed to find and promote standardized test methods for the printer cartridge industry. Standardized test methods are defined from ISO, ISTA, and ANSI standards.
A company that is STMC certified is one that has had their employees successfully trained by an authorized trainer in these test methods, attests to using these test methods, and has purchased the correct test equipment. By purchasing STMC certified products you can be assured that you will receive the highest levels of performance, reliability and quality with each cartridge.
